New Media - What is it?
We've recently added "New Media" services to our list of "things we do" so I thought I would have a few words about what people are discovering all by themselves.
The way people find their entertainment is changing a lot. Where once we all sat round the tv after dinner to catch the prime time show, many of us are now downloading our entertainment. We're accessing sites like youtube.com, queing up podcasts on our mp3 players or trading amusing videos on our mobile phones.
I myself help to contribute to the plethora of audio podcasts out there with Open Source On The Air and I listen to many ABC shows ranging from PM through to the Insiders podcast (yeah I know, I'm an exciting guy).
So where are you with this new media thing? Are you a podcast addict? Have you got yourself a settop box and are enjoying the benefits of digital television? Have you looked at your home entertainment system and thought, but what if I...?
